Gina Harlow has been involved in theatre or clubs in some aspect or another since 1968. She started with sound effects for a riot scene in an Off-Broadway play “Riot”, based on the Newark, NJ Riots in the 1960s, the show won an Obie Award. She was assistant wardrobe mistress for The American Shakespeare Festival Theatre, in Stratford, Connecticut in 1969. Henry the Fifth went to Broadway that year. She designed costumes for a doll designer, in the early 1970’s. She did voice overs for a toy (Baby Heart Beat), for a TV commercial in the 1970’s.

In 1974, she debuted on the stage as a Burlesque dancer, getting into it at the tail-end of the glamorous days of the Burlesque Theatres and shows., She created numerous themed acts and became a “Star of the Stage” and the Borscht Belt in the Catskills, New York, resorts.

In 1978, she made her debut as the punk rocker: Gina Harlow and the Cutthroats.

From 1990, there were several years when she was behind the scene and behind the camera. She produced a weekly TV series on cable TV, titled “Inside the Blues”. The show featured, local, regional, and national blues artists. That show aired for two years in the Washington, DC Metro area. She started a record company, Round Robin Records in 1997, and produced two successful CD’s: Blues Binge, and Gotcha By Your Blues. Both we distributed world-wide by City Hall Records.

In 2012, Gina decided it was time to get back on stage… her current act is as a “Stand-up Comedienne”. Gina Harlow – the Naked Comic – She bare’s her Soul (has nailed her G-String to the wall and does not take her clothes off – she’s says “now they pay me to keep my clothes on”. There are numerous sketches, as she is building up to a full two-hour show.
